Whilst most clients have chosen jComply to meet specific, legislative issues, a natural extension to those early needs is to extend the usage into other areas requiring control through policies and procedures.

Health and Safety lends itself well to the benefits of jComply. Recently a Government body was fined by a court for negligence by an employee who was injured whilst carrying out his general duties.

The employee claimed that he had not been instructed to wear safety gloves whilst using a chain saw. Whilst clear written evidence existed in the corporate hand book, the employee claimed that he had never seen the item within the manual and as such was not aware of his duty to wear such protective clothing.

As the organisation in question could show no evidence to the contrary, the court found in favour of the claimant and awarded him substantial damages.

jComply is now used to ensure all employees are not just aware of corporate policies and procedures but have read, understood and are now working to such standards and indeed have digitally signed to that effect.
